The short version. We collect what we need to sell you parts and ship them: your name, contact details, addresses, and order history, plus standard website and device data. We use advertising and analytics tools from Meta and Google that share information about your visit with those companies for targeted advertising. You can opt out of that at any time, and we honor browser based opt out signals. We never sell your information for money, we do not share your phone number or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
This Privacy Policy explains how LIQUIVINYL LLC, doing business as LVA and LiquiVinyl ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit https://liquivinyl.com, place an order, contact our support team, or otherwise interact with us.
If you have questions, email us at help@liquivinyl.com. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our site.
When you visit the site we automatically collect:
We receive information about you from the service providers and advertising platforms described in Sections 3 and 4. This includes aggregated and individual level analytics about how you found and used our site, whether you saw or clicked one of our advertisements, and conversion data confirming that an ad led to a purchase.
We do not collect or process sensitive personal information, meaning government identifiers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, biometric data, sexual orientation, or the contents of your private communications.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with the following categories of service providers and partners, each of which is contractually limited to using it for the purposes we specify.
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Order, account, contact, device, and usage data | Runs our online store, checkout, and hosting |
| Payment providers: Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay, Affirm, Klarna | Payment details, order value, billing contact information | Process payments and financing. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with your data. |
| Klaviyo | Name, email address, phone number, order history, site activity | Sends our marketing and transactional email and SMS |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Site activity, purchase events, and hashed contact identifiers | Advertising and measurement. See Section 4. |
| Site activity, device data, advertising identifiers | Analytics and advertising. See Section 4. | |
| Judge.me | Name, email address, order details | Collects and displays product reviews |
| Shipping carriers: USPS, UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight carriers | Name, shipping address, phone number, package contents | Deliver your order and process damage and loss claims |
| Professional advisers | Only what is necessary | Accountants, lawyers, and insurers where required |
We may also disclose personal information:
Please read this section. We use advertising and analytics tools that share information about your activity on our site with Meta and Google. Under some state privacy laws this is treated as "sharing" or "selling" your personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, even though we receive no money for it. You can opt out. See Section 11.
Meta. We use the Meta pixel and Conversions API. These send Meta information about your visit, including pages viewed, products added to cart, and purchases completed, along with hashed identifiers such as your email address, so that Meta can match the activity to an account and attribute it to an advertisement. We use this to show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited our site or who resemble our existing customers, and to measure whether those ads produce sales.
Google. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google advertising products to show and measure ads. This may include demographics and interests reporting, remarketing, and display network impression reporting. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Both companies process this data under their own privacy policies, and both may combine it with information they already hold about you.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them, along with pixels, tags, and similar technologies, in four categories:
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep you logged in, remember your cart, and process checkout. The site does not work without these. |
| Performance and analytics | Tell us which pages and products are viewed, where visitors come from, and where they leave. |
| Functional | Remember preferences such as region and settings. |
| Advertising and targeting | Support the Meta and Google advertising described in Section 4. |
Our site displays a cookie consent banner that lets you accept or decline non essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time through that banner. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how the site works.
Browser opt out signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and of any sharing of your personal information, for that browser. Because there is still no uniform industry standard for older "Do Not Track" headers, we do not respond separately to DNT.
If you opt in, we send marketing email and text messages about new products, restocks, pre-orders, and promotions. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message. You can stop text messages by replying STOP to any message from us. You will still receive transactional messages about orders you have placed, such as shipping notifications, because those are necessary to fulfill your order.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with Klaviyo, which sends the messages on our behalf, and with shipping carriers where a phone number is needed to schedule a freight delivery. Full SMS program terms are in Section 30 of our Terms and Conditions.
We keep order records for as long as necessary to fulfill orders, handle returns and claims, and meet tax, accounting, and legal record keeping obligations, which is generally seven years from the date of the order.
We keep account information for as long as your account is open. We keep marketing contact information until you unsubscribe, after which we retain a suppression record so we do not contact you again. We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and defend against any related claim.
When we no longer have a legitimate need for information, we delete or anonymize it. Where that is not immediately possible, for example because it exists in a backup, we isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls limiting who on our team can see customer data, and fraud screening on orders. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our systems.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our safeguards, and transmission of information to and from our site is at your own risk.
Our site and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not market to children. If you are under 18, please do not use the site or provide us with information.
If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it and deactivate any associated account. If you believe we hold information about a child, email help@liquivinyl.com and we will act promptly.
We extend the following rights to all of our customers and site visitors in the United States and Canada, regardless of the state or province you live in, and regardless of whether a particular privacy law applies to us.
Email help@liquivinyl.com, or log in to your account at liquivinyl.com/account to review and update your details directly, or write to us at the address in Section 16.
We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may extend once by a further 45 days. To protect your information we will verify your identity, usually by matching details against an existing order or by contacting you at an email address already on file. We use any information you give us for verification only, and delete it once verification is complete.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to confirm it directly.
If we decline a request, we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing help@liquivinyl.com with the word APPEAL in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal in writing within 45 days, explaining our reasoning. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General to submit a complaint.
You can opt out of the advertising described in Section 4 in any of these ways:
We will act on an opt out request as soon as practicable and no later than 15 days after we receive it.
The rights in Section 10 are available to you. In addition:
Shine the Light. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. If you would like written confirmation of that, email help@liquivinyl.com.
Removal of content posted by minors. If you are under 18, reside in California, and have posted content on our site, you may request its removal by emailing help@liquivinyl.com with the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will remove it from public display, though residual copies may remain in backups.
Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We do share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising as described in Section 4, and you may opt out at any time under Section 11.
If you are in Canada, you may withdraw your consent to our processing at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. In limited circumstances permitted by law we may process information without consent, for example to investigate a breach of an agreement, to detect or prevent fraud, or to comply with a subpoena, warrant, or court order.
You may also direct a complaint about our handling of your information to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
We sell and ship to customers in the United States and Canada. Our operations, servers, and service providers are located in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there. If you are in Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your province.
We do not currently sell or ship to the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our service providers, or the law. The updated version will be marked with a new "Last updated" date and takes effect when posted. If we make material changes to how we use your information, we will notify you by a prominent notice on the site or by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
